Prindiville Prestige Renders its Ferrari 458 Italia Upgrade Programs [w/ Video]

It doesn’t seem like that long ago when only third world dictators’ sons and celebrities with about a trillion times more wealth than taste commissioned tuners to rework Ferraris. These days, however, there are numerous companies worldwide offering performance and cosmetic enhancements for products of the Prancing Horse. And Prindiville Prestige is one such firm.

Never heard of Prindiville Prestige? It was established in 2000 by Alex Prindiville, a Briton who also continues to serve as the company’s chief designer. The company has been offering parts for the latest “starter” Ferrari – the 458 Italia – for a while now, but Prindiville Prestige has just announced a range of three comprehensive and visually distinctive Prindiville Design Evo II tuning packages for the 458 Italia.

Review: 2012 Audi A7 Prestige 3.0 TFSI

2012 Audi A7

‘Game over’ is not an expression generally used in the automotive realm. And though we’re hesitant to use it in this case, we feel justified when referring to the likes of the new 2012 Audi A7. We’ve driven everything from electric roadsters to $100,000+ sports cars (which oddly enough sometimes fit both categories), but Audi’s new five-door hatchback sedan coupe has emerged as an uncontested winner without ever really playing the game. And it’s done so by operating in a little bit of an automotive gray area.

The 2012 Audi A7 is a fascinating amalgamation of 2 distinctly different styles. The first is a nod to the 2004 Mercedes CLS, a four door fastback saloon style “coupe” with its sweeping roofline tracking all the way to the rear of the car. Though these cars initially sold like hotcakes (and raised quite a few eyebrows) the auto manufacturers that tried to follow suit were less successful and the segment eventually cooled off. The second style harkens back to the upscale hatchback which really hasn’t seen any successful action since the days of the Sterling 827 and Rover SD1. So it’s interesting that Audi chose to create a car that mixes in strong elements from both classes, but with its own skillfully interpreted design esthetic and brand language.

Wald International Convinces the Porsche Panamera to Join the Dark Side

Despite its polarizing looks (and, frankly, the mere fact that it exists causing conniptions among hardcore Porschephiles), the Porsche Panamera has become a remarkably popular canvas for tuners. And with as much as 550hp available (in the recently introduced Panamera Turbo S) from the factory, you don't necessarily need to have your favorite tuning shop add more power (though we certainly don't have a problem with adding power to a vehicle).

That's a good thing for Wald International, since the Japanese firm doesn't concern itself with engine upgrades. Instead, it provides comprehensive and classy cosmetic revisions to a wide variety of British, German, Italian and Japanese vehicles. And its body kit for the Panamera - part of its Black Bison line and the company's first kit for a Porsche - manages to make the luxury five-door look downright snazzy.

Internet Gem of the Week: Pamela Anderson’s 2007 Range Rover Supercharged

Pamela Anderson's 2007 Range Rover Supercharged front 3/4 view

Even though there are many (some, like us, might argue far too many) Americans who are obsessed with celebrities and every infinitesimal thing they do, we doubt there are many folks who wonder “What do celebrities do with their cars when they’re done with them?” The answer, of course, is that they usually sell them, be it to a dealer, friend, relative, agent, publicist or some other member or their inner circle. Sometimes, though, star cars and trucks escape to the real world, and sometimes they show up on eBay. But we can’t remember the last time a star was selling a vehicle on the perennially popular auction website himself or herself. Leave it to one Pamela Anderson (no relation) to be the exception to the rule.

The world’s favorite chesty Canuck is looking to unload her 2007 Land Rover Range Rover Supercharged. This white-on-cream SUV is mostly stock, with a supercharged 4.2L V8 (borrowed from corporate sibling Jaguar) under the bonnet and belting out 400hp to a 6-speed automatic transmission and super sophisticated four-wheel-drive system. It won’t win any stoplight grands prix with the likes of a Cayenne Turbo S or Grand Cherokee SRT8, but it’s more than capable of getting out of its own way. Plus it will get over damn near any terrain short of molten lava.
